I want to join the air force, can someone give me some advice?

I am almost 24, no kids nothing bad on my record, but I do have a mild case of mitral valve prolapse, I have to take medication for this for the rest of my life. I have spoke with a couple army recruiters "back when I wanted to join the army" and they said heart murmurs and "mvp" are not a problem. My question is will the air force take me with this condition, I ask because I know a **** ton of people wanna join and they can pick and chose who they want. I have tried calling an air force recruiter but of course they never answer or call me back, so I was thinking of just going in tomorrow and check it out, but I guess I'm just impatient and I would like any incite you guys could offer.
