Could i wear a maxi dress and pull it off?

i have a beautiful maxi dress it cost me a fair bit its pink blue and red with a few specks of white and quite patterend i have some white wedges and a cut off denim jacket light denim im goin out with the girls on sat night round our local town i havent been out for ages and dont know whats in or our, please bear in mind i am a size 14 on toop and 16 on the bottom half. and the dress does cling so magic bridget jones pants will be a must would you go for ir or not?
