Where do i fit in and was her response mean or unreasonable?

When you were with your ex you were family but once that relationship broke you are not family no more. Especially because your ex's family is always gong to be on his side for the simple reason that they are family. I think they help you because you are the mother of their grandson. They saw the responsibility to do so. Depends ont the tone of voice she said it in. I think she was just being honest. You are just the mother of their grandchild. I don't no what kind of relationship you did have at one point with her. Also everyone has a different way of doing thing i sat in your position at one time but i still talk to my ex's mom extremely well shes one of my best friend i could say. i know i can always give her a call to talk. If she doesn't want to do anything to do with you its maybe because she feels awkward talking to you and having to be around ur ex's new fiance. She might feel like it can cause problems. If you are starting a new family then move on stop worrying about your ex's family. i know u have to communicate with them because of your child but just keep it short hi,bye. your ex is your past and so should his family.
